The L.A. Rams have joined a long list of brands and celebrities supporting the victims affected by the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles. On Monday, the football team players, coaches and staff arrived for the NFC Wild Card Playoff against the Minnesota Vikings in Glendale, Ariz., wearing T-shirts and hats with “LAFD” printed on them.
The shirts are part of a new merchandise collection available for purchase on the team’s website at ramsfanshop.com. The collection features different T-shirt styles and hoodies with “LAFD” and “LA Strong” printed. Prices vary from $35 to $150. All proceeds from the collection will be donated to the Los Angeles Fire Department and the Red Cross.

The Monday game, initially scheduled to take place at the L.A. Rams’ home, was relocated to the State Farm Stadium in Glendale due to the wildfires in Los Angeles County, which has killed at least 24 people, according to California Gov. Gavin Newsom.
Andrew Whitworth, a former offensive lineman who spent five seasons with the Rams, gave a speech at the State Farm Stadium, showing his support to the L.A. community.
“We are strong. We will not be defined by this devastation. We will rebuild L.A., hand in hand, together, for as long as it takes and whatever it takes. We will build it together,” he said. “Los Angeles, I love you. We love you and we are with you.”
The wildfires have burned a combined 38,600 acres in Los Angeles County. On Friday, Walmart announced a $2.5 million commitment to support relief efforts. Target is donating $1 million to national and local partners helping with recovery efforts. Other brands, including APL, Rebecca Minkoff, Paige, Figs, LoveShackFancy and Rails, have also announced donations to support the people affected by the wildfires.
