Tonight brought the Golden Globes 2025, and one of the biggest style takeaways from the red carpet was plunging necklines. The trend, which was a breakout last year — notably at the CFDA Awards — swept the 82nd installment of the awards show. Celebrities such as Miley Cyrus, Cynthia Erivo, Zoe Saldana, Zoë Kravitz, Quinta Brunson, Leighton Meester, and more all embraced plunging necklines.

Miley Cyrus opted for a plunging neckline that gave way to cutouts, courtesy of Celine. She paired her black dress with a the brand’s Triomphe sunglasses that she wore on the red carpet. Beneath, she had a smokey eye and with winged eyeliner.
Cynthia Erivo

Erivo defied gravity in a plunging sculptural Louis Vuitton gown that featured a floating tier at her hips. Styled by Jason Bolden, she paired her dress with winged eyeliner, a lined lip and a gem-topped manicure in green and pink that took five hours to achieve.
